Jilted Gin

Jilted Gin
2 oz Merrylegs Genever Style Gin
½ oz Lime Juice
½ oz Simple Syrup
About a bar spoon of Wild Card Absinthe
Lime wheel

Our Merrylegs Genever Style Gin makes a fantastic gin & juice cocktail. The Wild Card Absinthe wash in this drink provides a unique counterpart to the lime, highlighting Merrylegs’ botanicals of anise and lemon. Begin by preparing a martini glass with an absinthe wash. (Coat the inside walls of the glass by using a small pour or Misto of absinthe.) Combine Merrylegs Genever, lime juice, and simple syrup in a shaker tin with ice. Shake until cold to touch, then strain into prepared martini glass. Garnish with lime wheel.

Bloody Merry

4 oz tomato juice
4 dashes Tabasco Pepper Sauce
4 dashes Worcestershire Sauce
½ oz pickle juice
¼ tsp ground black pepper
½ tsp horse radish
1 oz porter or stout beer
Salt, pepper & paprika for rim

For a unique take on a classic, this recipe combines our own house recipe bloody mix with our Merrylegs Genever Style Gin in place of the traditional vodka. To make your own, fill a shaker tin with ice and shake all ingredients except beer. Strain into an iced pint glass with a salt, pepper & paprika rim. Top with beer, use bar spoon to stir well and add pickled veggies on a skewer for garnish. (Garnish as pictured: Spanish olive, pickled carrot, green bean, bell pepper, garlic & onion.)

Club Soda Water
Mint Sprig for Garnish

Begin by adding Merrylegs Genever, Cointreau and Raspberry Rose Simple Syrup to clean shaker tin. Add ice and gently shake ingredients. Strain into old fashioned glass over fresh ice. Top with club soda water. Finally, to release the aroma of the mint, take mint sprig and place in the palm of your hand, gently “spank” with your other hand. This will give the cocktail a fresh herbal nose.
